Meditation App

Design Concept

Overview:

Meditate is a mobile app designed to help users incorporate mindfulness and relaxation practices into their daily routines. I created the app mostly to showcase how the different sections could be distributed on homepage, to keep the page easy to track and informative. 😇

Onboarding

With a simple onboarding flow, after standard signup pages, users can easily customize the application based on their needs and current mood, the icons are not created by me, but to spice up them a bit - I added subtle background shapes to each of them.
The gradient on the buttons creates the atmosphere of an early morning sunrise (possibly by the seaside)—and who wouldn’t feel relaxed being there! ⛅

Okay, back to features:

  1. Daily Quote and Inspiration - A motivational quote greets the user each day, offering guidance on mindfulness and personal growth. While the accessibility may not be perfect in this concept design, the background contributes to the overall aesthetic. Typically, I ensure colors comply with WCAG 2 guidelines during testing in real applications.

  2. Guided Sessions - Users can choose from a series of calming activities, such as “Ground” to focus on oneself, “Airflow” for breath exercises, and “Harmony” to stay balanced.

  3. Audio Integration - The app features audio guides to accompany sessions, enhancing the user experience with immersive soundscapes. This approach caters to users who find it easier to listen and relax before beginning their exercises, making the experience more engaging and accessible.

  4. Achievement Rewards - Users are motivated to complete daily routines through rewarding feedback and congratulatory messages - because, let’s face it, everyone loves being recognized for a job well done!

The app helps users establish consistent mindfulness practices, improving focus and providing a sense of accomplishment. The visually serene design has received positive feedback from peers who use similar apps — this application was described as softer, lighter, and more promising.

To conclude, Meditate is a conceptual design project that envisions a user-friendly and visually calming experience for those seeking to build mindfulness habits. While only the visual interface exists, the design explores how personalized progress tracking, goal setting, and motivational feedback can help users stay engaged with their routines. 🪷
